accidentalrockhound inspired me to do a contest. I have a ton of precabs that I know I am not going to use. So, I figured I'd do something fun with them. There will be a little of everything and I do mean everything- from the boring to the special, from the bright to the dark. There are MAYBE 5% duplicate material, probably less. Some really rare ones, too. None are real duds. They will all make a cab. There's a couple slabbettes, but mostly they are precabs. I used a template for most, but you can still freeform them.
The contest will be open to everyone. I have a poll running which will help me to determine the rules of the contest. Please take a moment to fill it out. Here's a few pictures to get some interest going.

All of the precabs/preforms and slabbettes are bagged and labeled -if I knew the name. The bags are 4mm thick- the thick ones. There will be no packaging in the boxes.They are stuffed to the gills and nothing moves inside the box. You may get a few broken ones. But, I have done this successfully many times. There are some bags that have more than 1 piece in them. There are some earring pairs and I simply doubled up on a few. I should have counted the variety- it's impressive if I may say so myself. The boxes were randomly packaged.
Your challenge, should you decide to accept one is- A) if you are the lucky sort- successfully tell me the number of BAGS in each box to win each box OR B) tell me the total number of actual unbagged, unboxed pieces there are and win them all. OR C) Tell me how many BAGS are in one box to win that box.
Here's the kicker, though--- you have to declare your challenge and stick to it. If you choose to guess both boxes and you guess only one correctly- you lose and I won't tell you if you got one right. Also, If someone chooses to guess at one box and guesses the number correctly- you're out of the game because one of the boxes is gone. If someone guesses how many actual total pieces there are- the contest is over. If someone chooses one box and successfully guesses one box, then the play is open to all who chose to guess at one box- including the winner of the first box.
You have 2 hours to guess on Thurs morning. You get 2 guesses. Friday morning, at 8 am ET, you will have one hour to guess and get 2 guesses. Saturday, if no one has won, it will be a free for all starting at 10am ET. (I want to sleep a little later if I can.) In other words - Keep guessing till they are gone.
I am hoping this will require some deduction and strategy.
Shipping will be one penny via PayPal. This is so I can print a label with my label printer and get cheaper shipping. Easier for me. I'm lazy. If you honestly can not PP me a penny and you win, PM me your addy.
I have an appt at 8:30am ET Thurs. So, I won't be here till you are finished. I will let you know the outcome when I get back. If you guess more than twice, I won't count the other guesses.
Be sure to state which challenge you are going for.
