jamesp I bet you know all about these... I have a Viking vibe unit that came in an estate. It's the one with 2 hoppers, maybe 4 or 5 lb each. Former owner tried to put a larger thumler barrel on it, of course unsuccessfully. All the original parts were with it so I have assembled. When I turned it on it seemed to be too aggressive. Looked at the weight sets on the shaft, one was at about 3.5, the other 2.5. I moved the 3.5 end to 2. Needed a couple mounting bolts for the hoppers so I haven't fired it up, will the settings I have work o.k.? Secondly, what's it worth if I decide to sell it?

Mine for $150, but it was an inherited unwanted devise. I would think $300-500. Settings for 35 pound hopper should be 2.5 to 3.5. settings for 14 should be about 1.0 to 1.2, barely off balance. The little 5-6's probably less, I think you can do .8. And they are designed to be run full so be sure to have hoppers on it and full of rocks. Hope this helps. Thanks, I'll dial it down a bit before I try it.

Make sure the bolts are grade 8 and the buckets are bolted down tight. If they come loose you will break an ear off of the bowl. My unit came set up that way so I made a 40lb tub out of a propane tank. Works great. If you ran it with no weight on it you will not be able to how it is working. Need weight to get it to vibe right............................MrP
