Here is something that ticks me off: I buy from Bombay Bazar every once in awhile because they usually have the best prices around for lapidary supplies. I just bought a Nova 280 wheel from them for $147.00 which is a pretty good deal. The problem is that no matter what state you live in, they charge tax on the sale. This time the tax was $3.28 or thereabouts. On the final page of the transaction, they say that tax includes a $2.50 handling charge. So, my question is....why in the world are they charging an automatic $1.28 tax on the sale. Has no one told them that if you are selling to someone outside your home state that there is no sales tax on the internet? I even sent them an email and asked about this mysterious tax once, and of course, they never responded. This "handling charge" and other tax that only shows up on the second or third transaction page looks to me to be nothing more than a hidden charge, designed so that the product price on the actual sale page looks lower than it really is. It appears a bit deceptive to me. Now, even with this hidden "tax and handling charge" their overall price is still a bit lower than anyone else, so I bite the bullet and put up with it. Has anyone else noticed this irritating charge on Bombay Bazar sales? Anyone have any opinions on this?

Yeah, I checked them out when I was pricing Novas, and they were the second lowest price for the 280 grit. I was referring to the 7-5/8 inch wheel. They were only $13 or so higher. Thanks for the tip, though.
