In anticipation of my goodies from Tela, Started on the base for anticipated projects similar to the dream catcher style sun catchers I make. No Willow here, but I do have plenty of grape vines, just waiting to be cut.
Received an order for a cylinder style one, sort of wind chime like, but to be placed in an area so the light could flow through the attached stones. Needs to have 2 woven circles with stones attached.
So, yesterday, harvested some grape vines and made the needed circles. Also made one form that looks like a traditional dream catcher. The grape vine is a lot easier to work with than the willow branches.
Will be harvesting more grape vines today and making more forms.
Photos to follow, eventually, to "prove" I really did this, lol.

Cool idea . Have plenty of willows here and grape vines running rampant . My Mom has a shed in her back yard that ya can't see , completely covered in grape vines .

Ok, here are the rough stage forms. Still more work to do on them. I still have tons of grape vines to harvest. Thankfully these are all on the edge of the fields, long way from house. Also, have many grapes that are ripening, which some of my brewer friends are going to harvest when ripe. Used the grape leaves for a mock Greek roll ups. Turkey hamburger with Greek spices. Greek olives. Greek rice blend. Feta cheese as a garnish. I love the authentic version, and this recipe was very close. The leaves are also great as a very nutritious spinach replacement, so par boiled and froze the rest.
