Pretty good weekend, good luck with the surgery bud. It's a major relief when the pain is gone.

Calling me a "long time expert" is a little embarraskin, appreciate the compliment, but "confirmed tinkerer" is much more comfortable.

OH heck, You've rolled more rocks in one barrel at a time than most people on here do in 2 years. grin. You know the regional areas, comfortable with them and take great rocks home from them. Didn't say a fancy dan lapidarist. I will never be one of those but do like my rocks and like good people even more. Good and decent people. I am honored to know most of the people on here and you're for sure one of the best. You are really good at answering mine and other newbie questions. Thanks for sure yah confirmed tinkerer.. grin..

That's a gooder for sure...if it were me I would stick in a muratic acid bath to take out the calcite, I can almost guarantee you there is botroyoidal under it...but risk us the calcite may be holding things together...as is is you did that piece right. Cheers Thanks Andy but have screwed up other rocks and was afraid. The iron out caused the pretty and thin threads of calcite to drop off. HAve pictures of it also. Here's a larger piece I have that is real typical, plain jane. Just no comparison to the two. Size isn't everything.. my motto for all my life.. grin.. Need to drag ole rockdunker up to Aden Wyo and put him to digging.
I dig rocks, that's how I got here!

Yeah its hard when you only have a few days for the family and have to get right back to work and a few states away don't help. Hope another job opens up locally but you are making that good money and don't get as much honey.

Just have to keep chasing it.

Thanks for making me smile, but I tend to disagree on my skill level.
