I got this piece of wood from Andy in a box a few months back. Deeply encrusted with petrified moss which Blue Forest is famous for. Been cleaning and futtering with it for a while and now it's as finished as I want it. It has everything I like in a rock. Has the polished and colorful parts and also the wood grain, natural parts. Even left some of the moss to show it more naturally. Fist sized. I hope you will like it as much as I do.. The first picture is after I got most of the algae off and the rest are after a slight polishing. Iron out softened the crust a bit and tapped it off. The rotary for a few days and then a vibe but only a couple days at each position. The pictures are dry.

Had sent it to you but like so many other rocks I have sent to you it must have gotten lost in the mail and alas, all I have are these pictures. You probably know how sorry I am. Glad ya still have the pics cause it finally showed up in the mail yesterday . Doesn't really fit in with my granite and sandstone though . |

Nice Blue Forest for sure! What vibe you have that you can put fist sized rocks in? Had to Egg the barrel of a twin lotto and squeeze. Was really hard to get the action working but a boat load of ceramic and had to adjust the med size rocks I had with it to get any kind of action. Made me want a Viking or such for sure. Just one of my hobbies and haven't had time to equip up yet with running the business , selling off real estate and trying to get the Veterans Hospital to redo a knee surgery. whine, whine, whine, Scheduled now though. About a week. |

Some of that Madagascar material is to die for or to kill over. . I took the av of all the whiskey stacked up off after Noah left. Used it to lure him in to get some free rocks.. Mooched you a couple too wigglinrocks .

That's a gooder for sure...if it were me I would stick in a muratic acid bath to take out the calcite, I can almost guarantee you there is botroyoidal under it...but risk us the calcite may be holding things together...as is is you did that piece right. Cheers

Cheers Thanks Andy but have screwed up other rocks and was afraid. The iron out caused the pretty and thin threads of calcite to drop off. HAve pictures of it also. Here's a larger piece I have that is real typical, plain jane. Just no comparison to the two. Size isn't everything.. my motto for all my life.. grin.. Need to drag ole rockdunker up to Aden Wyo and put him to digging.
