Working along nicely, lamp on; turned off to raise Genie up a few inches on bricks; back to work; light won't turn on. New bulb didn't work. Ruled out wall outlet, light bulb. Must be the lamp itself. Took it apart as much as possible. Figured it was the toggle switch. Fixed toggle switch, but figure the scotch tape won't last long. IMG_2125 by Pat, on Flickr We couldn't figure out how to put the little spring back on, or the black thing that is part of the switch. Could not detect any broken part anywhere. Googled for replacement of either lamp or replacement switch. Lamp about $60!!! Switch $9. Switch alone is at www.lapidary-solutions.comDo you know anything about them?

Since it is a Genie lamp did you try rubbing it them wishing for it to work?
