That Colla Wood is going to be a fantastic sphere Roger. The finished product will lessen the pain of the material lost.

lol I actually had a nightmare about the colla-wood sphere. It is by far the most expensive piece of rough I have used to make a sphere. I dreamed there was a soft, fractured center inside the preform and when I put it on the 220 and turned on the machine, it turned a few times then exploded. The other spheres have been fun to make. This one is giving me indigestion...

Keep us up to date with it. I'm really interested to see it finished. It'll be awesome.

ROger.. Or not grind it down. Facet it into a giant ring. Be more unique than a sphere. grin. Lots of work already. Just grinding along.

You sprung a rib? Is that you or the machinery? Hope you're all good!

Holy cr@p ... I have indigestion for you! You sprung a rib? Is that you or the machinery? Hope you're all good! Sadly, its me. I had a motorcycle accident almost 40 years ago now <wow..>. A drunk in a truck crossed the double yellow and we met face to face in my lane. One of a few legacies is a chronically dislocating rib. Every three months or so it kind of pops out of place. Good times lol.

Wow ... grim. Lucky to get away with that one I guess!
I'm nearly four years in to a cycle (me) meets car accident. Chronic pain nearly cost me my sanity (residual mental health issues not withstanding), job and now my wife is leaving me. I'm trying to hang on to some occasional time spent with my children. Good times indeed! Here's to the grinding. Maybe I can do some again soon.
I love your work though. I've been keeping regular contact with some sweet cab images and that is medicine to get me through this latest "patch".
