Came across these while going through one of my remaining moving boxes. This one was marked Misc rocks, very heavy. All I remember about them is that the other half of the teardrop shaped one broke while cutting. I love the iridescence of the one with clear/purple quartz. No clue where any of the rough came from. These are face polished, but reflections when I tried to show the polish were bad. 1 rough by Fernwood Acres, on Flickr 2 rough by Fernwood Acres, on Flickr 1 face by Fernwood Acres, on Flickr 2 face by Fernwood Acres, on Flickr These brought a smile to my heart. Remembering back to when I had the equipment (and vision) to create beautiful things. Who knows what I will find in the other remaining boxes marked rocks. I haven’t a clue.

Thanks. I hope I am getting better with rock photos with my Iphone SE. These were taken with a combo of early AM natural light by my patio doors, a blue LED spot light and overhead incandescent lighting. The gray envelopes for background seem to be helping, as no color adjustments were needed for these.

Pretty Ferny. Vision is great. I'm sure you see things in a rock's potential that many don't. its your eyes and lack of magnification isn't it?
