I'm still sneaking out to the garage when it's cool enough to get some cabs done. Got 1/2 of the house painted and the carpet down. I'm looking at the other half of the house and thinking I don't like painting as much as I like everything else... Here are a couple of chrysocolla/shattuckite cabs where I like the colors but the polish is more of a satin finish. I like a glassy finish better, but still pretty enough, I think. I got the material from Christopher1234 This is from a little brazilian nodule. I picked up two identical slabs in Quartzsite last year. The shine Riviera Flame The shine Hope you enjoy. We have a nice coastal cloud cover today so it's very cool in the shop. Good day to finish a couple more cabs. I'll try to post a few more later. Thanks for looking Craig

Nice! Have you tried aluminum oxide on suede for the chrysocolla/shattuckite cabs?

Nice! Have you tried aluminum oxide on suede for the chrysocolla/shattuckite cabs? Larry C. Hi Larry No, I haven't. That's something I'll need to try. Since 95% of what I cab is hard stone, I just haven't set up yet for the softer materials. I actually don't use any pad type polishing at all. I use the super cerium oxide wheel from DP after the 3000 wheel. I have 8000, 14000 and 50000 wheels, but have learned to bypass them in most agates and jaspers. Thanks for the heads up! Craig

Wow nice! Love the Brazilian....Mel Hi Mel It was originally larger, but after talking with Bluesky Susan, I took off as much of the outer tan rings as I could and it really made the stone jump. The colors are much better in the hand. Cell phone just can't seem to capture the contrasts. Thanks Craig
