Going to an auction this Saturday that has several pieces of equipment. The faceting machine looks almost new, but no idea how many laps he has for it, or their condition. If I can pick it up for a reasonable price, anyone interested it?

Not me but when we did shows full time we had several customers that demonstrated at shows with them. Manual machines, well built, but only available in 6". 6" laps cost less but sometimes harder to find some accessories in 6". Still being made I think by Scott Enterprises in Colorado.

ChicagoDave Bluesky78987 Dave, I received your PM. I called the Auctioneer and he will take credit cards with a 3% fee as that is what he is charged for processing. Fair enough methinks, so I'm good go on all the equipment unless someone bids against me that wants it reeeeeeealy bad, then they can have it. Also have interested parties on the Gem Tec Opal cabbing unit and 10 inch trim saw. I'm sure he has other goodies stashed in cabinets that I did not see. He has early stages of Dementia, plus the stress of moving and parting with their possessions in the sale has him not remembering all the details. They are a wonderful couple and my heart goes out for them having to give up their home and possessions of 60 years to move into an assisted living facility. Just to be clear and fair to everyone on RTH, I'm not looking to make a big profit on any items I buy and list here, but standing in the sun all day to bid on it, cleaning it up and packing it for shipping is worth something above what I pay. I really think that in this part of the country, not many people are much into Lapidary, so I'm expecting things to go very reasonably.

will do. Auction is tomorrow at 9:00 AM and I won't be back home until late afternoon at least. I'm in the Central time zone and will try to get some pics of the items. Anyone volunteer to post them if I e mailed them to you? Between Google and Photobucket, I have not been able to post pics lately

I can post them. I have smugmug and it works fine. PM me your e mail please. I only have a pic of the cabbing unit at the moment. Been fighting with Google and Microsoft for the last hour trying to save pics from G mail, but no such luck! Can't even send them to Dropbox

How much you want for the opal cabber, how good are the diamond wheels? Chicago Dave has first dibs on the cabber . I still have to separate the tickets as I don't remember exact prices. Had some competition in bidding for the good stuff. I'm going to post in the saws section in a bit, so check my score of the year!!!wheels on the cabber look good and pass the fingernail test Lots of life left
