Those are cool. Looks like fun cutting. They do not look anything like the bahia agates that most of us have been tumbling from the rock shed though. Rock shed bahia agates Chuck

At first thought that you meant "Bahia Agates" but these are not like what I was thinking. Never collected on the Baja but been thru there a lot. ROugh country and volcanic.
MIke fossilman Do you ever use an air scribe to clean specimens like your ammonites and other fossils? Particularly wood and ammonites..

Thanks Mike, Impatient type with not a lot of time and thinking an air scribe to make it faster and maybe better because if it takes less worl, I can spend more time. HCl loosens the algae on wood but the scribe should jack hammer it off. Especially the sand-like concretion on some of the Wiggins Fork stuff. Like to see the bark detail. One I am working on now looks like a birch of all things. Thank You ! Cliff

Back in the stone ages, when I was on a museum fish collecting trip to Baja California, we went down to Bahia De Los Tiburones and there were agates down that way. Some were nodules and some looked more like desert roses we'd find in California. Never collected any as we flew in and had a lot of scuba gear taking up our weight but they did look similar to those you've cut. So maybe they are from Baja california, not Bahia, Brazil. Got to say those you've pictured really look a lot like Graham Pass nodules from california too....Mel
