Howdy.......I have had a pretty good response on my opals and this may (or may not) be off topic. But I have been purchasing opal rough, rubs and finished at opalauctions.com for about a year and a half now. Everyone I have dealt with there has been great. Shipping is the only drawback with parcels usually taking 2 to 3 1/2 weeks to get here from Australia. Right now they are having a lot of free shipping promotion in their 1$ no reserve auctions. I think I have had about 150 transactions there and every individual seller has bee phenomenally great!!! Bob

Is the shipping only 2 bucks to the states like I see in their auctions?

It varies from free to 2.00 and some are 3.00 for the first item and 1.00 per additional up to 5 items. Only one seller is 5.00 but it is a flat 5.00 for up to 5 items. So I think the shipping is very reasonable. Everything comes International air post. I have been very happy with my purchases. The 1$ auctions are great.......Bob

Hah I guess that goes with the territory. My girl friend lays into me every time she sees me eyeballing those flashy rocks. I started with the boulder opal and slowly, very slowly worked into the lightning Ridge material. Every so often I come up with a darn nice stone. I have been drooling over the little bit spendier stones lately. But if I hear DeeAnn coming I quick as I can shut the opal site off  |
