Here are a few "jaspers" and an agate.
The first is Mescalero Jasper from Jeffrey Hill. They say this is more of a rhyolite. It is very brittle. You basically drop the slab and cab the pieces. I can't say for sure which it is, but it sure is pretty. The picture doesn't show how blue the blue is.
From the same general area (Dead Camel Mountains), Dead Camel Jasper from Phillip (Rare Rocks and Gems). You can see the different color palette between the two deposits. I changed out this photo to show the blue better.
Polychrome Jasper from Mexico. I felt very lucky to find this little slab with a scene at Quartzsite
And a Botswana agate. It took a great polish. Hard to photograph due to the contrasting colors and shine. The best picture was away from the light.
