Interesting wavy stratum. I'm wondering if it is evidence of liquefaction during an old earthquake? I've seen earthquake-produced sand bubble formations elsewhere.

Some fossils from the area. Earlier, I was going to ask whether you had found any fossils inside those concretions, but had to do some errands and a dinner. Came back, and some beautiful concretion interiors already posted! Thanks

amygdule I love the pictures you sent. And yes, that does look like diverticulitis I hope you managed to get that basketball sized bone filled concretion home! That would be a hard one to leave behind. I've always loved the beach and you have the best of both worlds! Thanks for taking us along!

Like Gomer always said "Shazammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm"!!!!!!! My summer has been crazy(no beach time),I need to hit the coast before winter storms set in down there....Love the fossils,so awesome!!!!! Thanks for sharing....
Need to hit the Newport area and south.....Kids live down there,see if they want to hound too.......
