I should have posted this a while ago, I got a diamond wheel from them - fast service, once I called them and the stuff arrived pretty quick - I had to pay custom dues on this (vive le Canada!) but it was still cheaper than getting some here in Canada - if I could find a supplier in Canada that is...
They get my vote - and thanks to Ed for suggesting them to me

We have ordered several times from Jadecarver and really liked the wheels we got from them. We bought some special shapes from them , "v" shaped and Radius. The prices were great and no surprises.

Hmmmmm.....Stephan, I can't believe I didn't give you the link for www.jadecarver.com Now order that f@#*king wheel! I've gotten a couple of wheels from them and at their prices, will continue to do so. They may not last quite as long as a Galaxy wheel, but at about 1/3 the cost they are well worth it.

I just purchased an 80 grit and a 220 grit from them.............havent received them yet but they get rave reviews from many people. The person that recommended them to me said that he's been using his 80 grit for quite a while on rough rock, just grinding it down to cab size and his still works well. He told me that if I was only grinding material that was already slabbed then they should last me years. You cant beat the price.

Daniel, I use 8" wheels and a Galaxy is going to cost me almost $300 with shipping and I can get a wheel from jadecarver for $91 with shipping. So it's a wash because 3 wheels will last as long as 1 Galaxy wheel.

Weeshan - did they have the 80 grits in stock? They were out last week, so I have a 50 grit and a 220 waiting for me at the PO tomorrow. I'll see how it goes with these, or I might pick up a 120 for a short hop between the grits...

I can vouch for that 80 grit jadecarver wheel. I use that and a 220 of his. Both exceeded my expectations and are still running stong. Ed, he's going to be at the San Jose show in April. I checked the vendor list. I have seen him at a show up here before too and had a nice time chatting. Steve

OK, i decided i could use a new 80grit wheel last week, and emailed David at jadecarvers asking if thats in stock becasue i noticed he had the wheel size i wanted, but didnt mention 80grit in the desc on his ebay auctions.
He repilied back with an all go on the wheel and stated he had it in stock. Was very forward and gave good details. I sent the paypal payment as asked to be notified when the wheel ships.
Last night i get a two personal shipping confrims from him. One stated a 400grit was shiped, the other stated a 120grit wheel was shipped. And no 80 becasue it wasnt in stock.
I replied right away and stated that wasnt gonna work and to please know i will just return the box unopened when it arrives and was asking for a full refund. Becasue he told me he had it in stock frist, and why i emailed asking originally.
Got the reply email today and he definitly gots thumbs up from me. Yes, he sent the wrong wheel, and has cuased a delay generally speaking. But his reply was upfront with the mistake and was very sorry. Though i am not buying this 80grit wheel from him now. I will still get some carving bits from him in the future. If his reply was different for any reason, then this would of not been a freindly frist time experince with him.

I got the 120 and did nto want to wear it out too fast, so I got a 50g. BUT, I ordered and paid on a MOnday and it did not ship till Sat. Is smarts a bit to pay for Priority but have the item sit all week befor eit ships. ALso he has a $4.90 handling fee, so no excuse for the slow shipping.
Still, nobody else has such good prices.
------
UPDATE: David did offer an apology and mentioned a refund on some fo the handling, but I told him not to worry. He should have shipped sooner, but I think I was mostly grumpy from housecleaning and disappointed I would not have my new wheel when I relaxed in my shop after Easter dinner.

Got myself a 80 and 220 diamond wheel 6" x 2 1/2". Been grinding and cabbing all weekend long. Great price, good wheels, and they cut fast.

Tweet - You should not have to pay customs fees from the U.S.. N.A.F.T.A. (north american free trade agreement) took care of that in the early 90's. Do you know if they included a certificate of origin that it was from the U.S.? I ship stuff to Canada and Mexico all the time and there are never duites or taxes. Maybe they need brought up to speed. Dave.

It is a slippery slope!!! We export to Canada once in a while- GOOD LUCK getting clear guidlines from them- even Candian Post could not answer me correctly!!!! We only make products from US and Canadian grown forage- but dang if I could figure out if it falls under the NAFTA- I even went to the CA gov website and read the 130 pg document on feed products- here is the kicker- they USE AUTOPARTS as an example- I was like WTF? And we thought the US gov was wacked???

I have yet a Canadian customer that didnt specficly ask me to be careful what claim amount i put on their customs ticket for shipping. Ive gotton many say that the custom cowboys will get you if you put a fee on the ticket that higher than the price it costs to ship it. Ive gotten into the rutine to mark the materials as "for study" with a fee under the actaully shipping price. I shipped to Canada problely once a month or more.

I was not thinking that jadecarvers stuff might be from Asia but with the prices it probably is. That negates the whole deal. origin does mean country of manufacture. If the C of O contains the proper schedule b number and description and the actual sellling price if not sold there should not be a problem.
