Had a fantastic dig on the Sept long at Disdero lake and happened to get into a vast newly found ridge that is producing some huge water line agates. Brought back a few decent ones to show in various sizes. Start you off slowly with a few pics so i dont bombard you with a whole lot at once. On the ridge. Next.

So much fun I never want to leave! Hahaha Spent a day in the old hole from an earlier trip, ended up cleaning out the last of that material and a few more new sweet blues were found. Busted this newer blue by hitting it with my pic, "Ouch" that one hurt, but some of its still good for cabs. One of the smaller pieces from it, show you more later. Having some time out issues with my connection?

Those are amazing. Are you digging randomly for them, or have you found a way to improve your odds? Looks like a good bit of work.

Thanks, and it's a bit of both First we look for float, start ascending up the ridges until it disappears and look around for a basalt bulge, that's usually a good indicator that something is producing from a spot, most times it works great. With this ridge because of the float being so abundant and spread over a vast area, we hike to the top and follow the depressions that either the glaciers carved or water eroded where rocks could slide and collected into, flat spots with slight bulges in the landscape. Find a good area and dig in to see whats under the overburden. Its a gamble but chances increase on hitting something.
