I love Slag and I am looking for slag pile near Old Furnaces that you can legally take. KY OH TN area

Will be watching this post. Hopefully you get some advice and or answers. I also hope, people would show some of their Slag treasures.
Have never been into anything man-made, but recently came into some slag from England, and that stuff is mesmerizing.

I went to the Cumberland Furnace in TN (about an hour NW of Nashville) and found about 50 lbs. in the creek. I became addicted after that! At the time my parents lived there but since have moved, I am tumbling some of it now to make knob for my kitchen cabinets. I love the thrill of the hunt and being rewarded with the gorgeous blues and greens of slag.

Welcome to the forum and wish you luck on your search. Should be other rocks in those creeks that you can polish too. Hand around on the forums for a while and you'll get many good ideas of where to look for different materials.

Well well there is slag hags here to. I find slag to at times in my creek. Some of it is pretty cool have ro admit.just kidding about the hag thing just sounded funny.
