hi.
i am looking for general information on rock and glass tumblers. what brands to look out for, if there are specific tumblers for specific materials (looking to tumble smalti), the loudness (or lack thereof) of certain tumblers, where to buy, etc.
basically ANY and all information i can wrangle up with regards to tumblers and their intricacies would be of GREAT help.
thanks in advance,
-m

I have two Thumlers tumbling and even though I'm only a couple months into this I am very impressed with them so far. Being rubber (and rubber lined) hex barrels they are remarkable quiet. They may be a little more on the pricey side, but in my experience so far they are well worth it. Hope this helps

I also love my Thumlers.
Basically, don't buy the kiddie kit or the Chicago Electric tumbler unless you want a few headaches really quickly. Other than that, Lortone, Thumlers, and Covington all make great tumblers!
