The plan is to cut one slab out the middle of each rock then tumble the two end cuts. Would like to get some cabs from these. Paid too much for the bots to just tumble them.

I saw those Bots and liked them but thought they were priced too high. They sure have a tight pattern.

Someone was looking at my tumbled bots and told me he had some from an old collection. I told him I was interested so he brought them from home for me to look at. Price was high but I made a partial trade to offset it. Chuck

Those Botswana are awesome. I like your idea of getting a cab out of the middles.

Chuck Wow Chuck, We don't see any of the baby Brazilians down where I live. Living out in the Boonies is hard on being able to find nice material. We have to go a long distance to shows every few months or rely on another person in another business to pick out our rocks and guess our wants. . Been looking for some of these but haven't found any. Was also thinking about cutting a piece from the middle and pregrinding the cut end a bit to expose the pattern more fully on it. Thanks,

The tent had the New Rough Rock sign. The Gem Shop was the dealer.

I just ordered 25lbs of baby Brazilians from Kingsley. They haven’t arrived yet. The were advertised as being a pound or less. How big are yours. I’m hoping mine are on the smaller side. I’m also hoping for less quartz inside.
That Bot is super cool.

I might just grind the outer edges to get the look I want then put them right in 120/220. There will not be hardly any undercutting. I have a couple in my personal collection that came out really good that way. Andrew hand picked all of these and it looks like they will all be able to be cut on a 6" trim saw. They were mixed in with regular sized agates and all of it was $2 a pound. I think he took all of the small ones. Chuck

coloradocliff The only time I have bought Brazilian agates, they were in a giant pallet box at the Goldmine Rock Shop outside of Canon City. Is it still extant? I was actually impressed by reasonable variety and prices. I also remember lots of big pieces with holes already drilled (unknown material)that I should have bought for projects. Being cheap, I often score somebody's not quite perfect botswanna tumble and take it home to be sawed and polished anew. Saving a rock from obscurity is part of my mission at this stage of life.
