Hi all, I need to bring something to your attention. This past week there was a major fire at Bernies lapidary, It was not of their own making but some drunk that hit a utility pole outside the business. I am making a big purchase from them today, and they are going over and above the call of duty to make it work out. If you are looking to buy replacement parts or something new please check them out, best prices I have found. www.bernieslapidary.com/Index.htmSpike

Well I'm still waiting on mine. I ordered the GP-6 from Bernie's on June 8th. Two weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything, so I emailed for a progress report. I was told that the manufacturer wasn't going to be shipping them out until the 15th of July. Yesterday I emailed again to get a confirmation that they would be shipping out this weekend. Here is the reply I received: "Brian, I would like to say that I can guarantee the two week delivery buy I can't. I am so frustrated with this company that I took the item off of our site. I was told they were in the process of moving their location that that it would be two more weeks until they ship. You tell me what you want to do. Wait it out or cancel, it your call. I have another customer waiting also. I am embarrassed about this. We have never had this problem, but we always kept these in stock. Since the fire, we've had to drop ship them a whole new experience for us. I guess we never paid much attention to how long orders took to get from them to the store because we always kept the stock up. I do not know what else to say but I'm sorry this happened." I'm going to wait it out, at least for the next couple weeks (blessed with patience, that's me). I can't fault Bernies. I've had good dealings with them in the past, and I'm confident I will also have good dealings in the future. It's just an unfortunate situation.

Beef: Don't feel bad. I ordered an Arizona gem hunting book from Bernies and was told two weeks something like five weeks ago. I also asked them to contact me if they couldn't get it so I could look elsewhere and they haven't returned any successive inquiry I've made. I'm not real happy with them at all!...Mel

Bernies has always been great to me, Carole is a sweetheart and before the fire I always received stuff fast. They must be going through hell having to drop-ship all the orders.

Well, I got my Arizona Gem hunting book from Bernies today. It took a bit longer than they said but they are way better than friggin Amazon that strung me along for months with no book. Overall, especially since they've been restocking after their unfortunate fire, I'd give Bernies two thunbs up....Mel
