So I'm brand new here. Overwhelmed with all the great info on here. I'm autistic, so sorting through all the posts looking for ones that will answer all my questions gives me a massive headache just thinking about it, (I've had an overwhelming day with my four boys) so sorry to be redundant.
I'm about to set my first loads. Lortdone double barrel. (33B maybe?)
From reading, I see everything had to be uniform harness... (That was almost a disaster) so here are my questions/etc.
I have a barrel 2/3 full of quartz, amethyst, and what I think is a red jasper, 4 Tbso coarse grit, and then I just filled in pellets. I couldn't find anywhere his many pellets to use so I just kind of Clegg them up to the level of the rocks. There's not a ton of variety in the Rock sizes, I got 6 lbs mixed from a place on Amazon and yeah... They're sure mixed... Every hardness from 2-7 in there...
Am I right so far? (Add water and begin?)
How well do I need to rise/wash stuff before tumbling?
Any special water? City tap water fine?
More/less pellets?
Rub fit how long to start?
Sounds like I'm good starring with hard,
Can the harness vary at All? I have done that uh the book I got with say they can vary in hardness and also done are like 7.0 7.0 Or 6.5-7.0 or less.
Could I put in 6.5-7 with 7.0-7.0? Or no?
Also, the super soft ones, we're talking 2.5-3... Can I tumble these at all? I'll post pictures when I have time may not be for a bit though...
Over been having a hard time identifying all the miss to low range ones so I'll post pictures for help later...
I have a few pieces of zebrasomethingdite that I'm really looking forward to working on. Just need tips for altering what I do so I don't ruin them... (Teaching my boys as I go...)
Just... Help?
