I wanted to give a shout out to Richon Tools.
A month ago I decided the only way I could survive this virus I caught was to put together an arbor. So..... I got a Lortone 4 wheel from Bernie's, tore the motor out of my spare washer, and ordered an expanding wheel and some belts and some pads with screw on backing pads from an American company.
I also decided to try Richon Tools, www.richontools.com/catalog/c68_p2.html, in China, for a diamond 120 grit plastic wheel because the price w/shipping was half that of American lapidary companies, big or small. I figured it might take weeks and weeks to arrive but I went for it any way.
So 5 days later I get my plastic wheel from Richon. Two days later I got 3 out of 4 diamond pads from the company in America, but the drum and the belts I needed for polishing were back ordered.
I started grinding with the plastic wheel roughing out some free forms, learning to use it, and liked it so much I decided to order an 80 grit wheel so I wouldn't run the risk of wearing out my 120. Five days later it was in the mailbox.
I wrote the other company asking where my back order was and I still haven't heard from them.
I decided I liked the 80 grit wheel so much I ordered some more wheels from Richon. They came in 5 days but still nothing from the other company. Last week I ordered a convex and concave wheel from Peter at Richon and he gave me the convex wheel to even out what he said was my overpayment of shipping on the previous order. They came on Sat. 5 days later.
Still haven't heard from the other company so I can't polish my growing pile of free forms but I sure am happy with Richon. 4 separate orders arriving in less than a month from China ain't bad!
And I'm happy as can be with these wheels. I'll be ordering some diamond bits from them later on when I'm ready to try my hand at drilling rock. Tony
