Thanks for posting pics. They look great I still can't cut mine, maybe next week. Are you going to heat treat them?

You haven't received the parts to fix your saw yet Andrea? No not yet. BD wouldn't sell them to me directly I had to have an authorized dealer order them. So I called The Rock Shed and Shawn ordered them for me. I called BD Monday and they said they have my order but they have to make one of the parts. You'd think they would have SOME on hand. But anyway, they said I should have them next week.

Very nice points!!! Hey Mike I love them slabs! Flint Ridge just shines like nothing else when cabbed or tumbled.

Very nice points!!! Hey Mike I love them slabs! Flint Ridge just shines like nothing else when cabbed or tumbled. Mike did a great orientation on the slabs. Is there a certain orientation you do on a stone to knapp? Do you just cut for pattern or or crystal structure. Heck you probably just chip a piece off and go from there.

That's some really great material! I hope you're planning to make a cab or two!

Yep Billy just use a bopper to get a big spall but you still have to orient it. Flint Ridge lays in layers so you have to get it all from a layer. It's faster to bop spalls of the core and then use the core to make a nice size knife blade or spear.
