I wanted some Mexican red-banded jasper I had seen that has grey-white mountians. GemCenterUSA.com company mines the stuff.
I got #20 for $4/lb on the retail list. If you get $100, the shipping is free. So I got some printstone and lizardskin jasper to push me over $100. It shipped right away. No complaints.
Only hitch is that on small lots, they say #2 to #3 instead of weighing and charging by the pound. My lizardskin was #3 & 2oz, but my printstone was only #2 & 6oz.
Still nice folks, good web site, no handling, and free shipping is always nice.

How do you like that printstone? I've ordered geodes from them - wasn't thrilled with the geodes but I was happy with them as a vendor . . . geodes are so fickle anyway.
But that printstone looks really intersting, I just had no idea what it would cut/tumble like.

It cuts OK, but I have some printstone slabs that are waxy (very silicified) and them most printstone is a little more gritty - like disaster peak picture jasper and only takes a high satin shine. Still, neat stuff.

I buy from them at the Franklin, NC and Grassy Creek, NC shows and they are GREAT to deal with! Check out the Viper Jasper-it is stunning!! They are always willling to give a small price break when you buy more than a few pounds also, even though their prices are already fair.

Very nice people and shop. I buy from them all the time. Only about five miles from where I live.
