Looks like maybe Willamette Valley, Sweet Home, Lebanon area in Oregon. Sweet Home - Lebanon area was my reaction, too. Hard to narrow it down from there. Used to be some nice plume material come from Chandler Mt. and Moore Ranch.

I Figured it was carnelian but was not sure. It came with a pile of rocks the wife bought a few years ago.

Speaking of Carnelian, this one is my favorite and I will never cut it 6 inches across. photographed wet, it was a bit dusty!
