We just spent a week in SE Utah, Monument Valley to Moab. This was not a rock collecting trip, just exploring some ruins, rock art and back country. Started in Monument Valley, Sunrise from the deck of our cabin: Moved up to Bluff, UT to explore ruins - River House: Tower Ruin: Another stop, got out and the ground was covered with Jasper, great looking but off limits because of location in a National Monument: To be continued

Part 2 Off to Moab for scenery - Mesa Arch: Balcony Arch: We were driving in wash and stopped to look around, found these, only had a plastic garbage back, no buckets!! Added bonus for the trip was the Pebbles and Points Rock Show in Moab. the most interesting table turned out to be one of us! Zarguy, Lynn from Cedar City. Absolutely beautiful Cabs! Had a nice visit with him, hope to get together in the near future.

I spent a fee days passing through that area to scratch one item off the Bucket List last May. The area is amazing. I have to ask ... Did you brave the Moki Dugway highway near Mexican Hat? If you did, you will never forget it. If you didn't, check out the U-Tube videos and put it on your Bucket List. Some of the greatest excitement imaginable considering there is no admission price for the thrill. Sure they could use some guard rail, but that would lessen the excitement.

We've driven the Moki Dugway numerous times, on other trips. We didn't go onto Cedar Mesa this trip, from Bluff we were mostly on or around Comb Ridge. My wife is not fond of the MD!
