I finished this beautiful 33x13mm 20 ct. chrysoprase and decided that I wanted to make a ring for myself. I have short fingers and arthritis, so getting rings that fit are difficult. I made this big, so it would fit any number of fingers depending on how swollen my fingers are. It's a size 12! (I used to wear a 7.) If I were making this for a client, it would have been no trouble. But, Murphy couldn't let it go. I messed up a bunch of times, but I never gave up. The weave on one side is off a bit, but I can live with it. I really like it. When I get tired of it maybe I'll sell it. I need to cab some more ring stones. Beautiful ring Tela! So THAT is what Chrysoprase is supposed to look like... No wonder my Sister looked at my tumbled Chrysoprase and called them nasty names... she would not talk to me for a week after! Now... seeing yours... I can't blame her one bit!

Tell her I said -that's mean. I have a tiny chrysoprase put away in one of my riker boxes. It is amazing! It looks like and almost minty emerald green jelly and has a glow about it. I compare all chrysoprase to that one and they all fall short. This one is very nice, but in my mind, it could be nicer. However, as with so much material now- the best stuff is long gone.

I love your approach to this. I have several rings that fit on various fingers depending on the swelling of the day, lol. Your artistry is beautiful as always.

The cab, the wrap, both impressive. Got to treat yourself sometimes.

That looks awesome! Nice cut. I have some green opal I'm guessing? that is just slightly more neon then chrysoprase. I have to show you one day soon. One difference it has some moss in it. Could be tough to pull out a perfectly clean stone such as your above.

That's a great wrap. My solution to ring sizes was leaving the band open, but the end result wouldn't be nearly so solid and elegant. That weave looks very clean and uniform to me but your standards are obviously at a different level.

Super nice. Wrapped rings have there very own appeal to them . the cut is awsome.

Somehow I missed this. What a beautiful wrap! I love chrysoprase myself. You're using sterling, right?

Can you show a photo of the back? Just curious on what it looks like. Love the idea of wire wrapped rings. Never saw any before yours.
