This was such a PITA! I deliberately set out to make a mans pendant. I changed it about 3 times while I was working it. I am somewhat happy with it. What do you guys think? Is it obviously manly?

It's simple. Could be unisex?

It's simple. Could be unisex? Yes, I always say that a men's pendant can go for woman if she likes it. I would call it unisex, but I was trying to do something for a man.

Not to offend your work, love the bone you used and the wrap is simple. But to be honest with you chances are I wouldn't wear it. Remember... please dont hurt me lol Thats just my opinion.

Yep, I think your wraps are awesome. So, clean an not metrosexual/ girly at all. Of course I don't wear any jewelry so I may not be a good judge of it all....Mel

If I was the pendant-wearing sort I'd probably buy it. But I'm not

The men around here don’t wear wire wrapped pendants. All I’ve seen is either Jade Cove jade or Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper with a leather cord through a drilled hole. One man wears a big Virgin Valley opal encased in plastic.

I think the silver adds a touch of feminity to the piece. Maybe if you used some LOS to add some patina.
Beautiful work and IMO, unisex as it stands now.[/quote]

It's a good looking pendant, but like some of the others have stated, I don't wear jewelry and personally think it looks much better on women. Only wear my wedding band (under protest).

ME to HE: is this pendant masculine or is it feminine? HE: pendants are only for women
He wears a plain wedding band only.

Tela, what is your husband’s opinion?

Thanks for all your inputs. DH only wears a wedding band and viking knit bracelet. I don't know any men who wear pendants, but I do sell a lot of them to men who do wear them. Men's or unisex, either is fine with me. Honestly, I don't like this one. I almost took it apart. I have learned from past experience that sometimes the ones I like the least become someone else's favorite. So, I resisted the urge to scrap it.

It is very nice Tela... I am not much into wearing a pendant... unless they were a nice set of dog tags.

In my very limited experience, the few men who wear pendants prefer a rustic look. Rough stones, simple design, tarnished copper wire.

Nice piece of Gem bone! Beautifully done as usual! I think I would have put the bail on the pointy end for a sort of Pyramid effect. Had it been more elongated, it could have passed as an Arrowhead shape and been more "manly"

Tela, what is your husband’s opinion? He liked it, but he doesn't wear pendants, so he wouldn't wear it.
