Work schedule prevented me from checking on things here for 2 days. A lot can happen in 2 days, lol. No way I can catch up tonight. 10 hours at work tomorrow, then 7 on the weekend, plus being on call as a supervisor. Love the $$$ hate the hours. ESpecially the 2:00 AM text messages from employees that have questions that could be emailed or wait until later. If I am answering text messages for an hour or more at night, I do get paid for it, so that's a bonus.
Work for a residential care provider for those with extreme medical or behavioral challenges. They just expanded to this area a couple weeks ago and I am the only manager for this area. Most residents require 1 or 2 staff members per resident. That is how intense their needs are.
My lapidary habit will bring much therapy and calming. Just need to get more equipment and all will be well...

Sounds like you are really on a treadmill. Yes, a nice rock hobby will help. Do yourself a favor and don't answer texts off the clock. They will only expect more free work from you.

The long hours provide money to purchase the equipment needed to enjoy your time off from the long hours. Patience and perseverance are not easy traits.
Last night, I cut my first slab on a BD saw I got in June.

LOL I saw that about 15 minutes ago and had to leave this site. My response would have probably broken 6 or 7 of the new rules.

My wife does that same kind of work... Sometime we barely see one another, but it helps pay the bills.. She enjoys the work with the clients too... I know when its time to say "Lets go" Hop in the car and get lost for a few days, than back to it again.. Hang in there, you got this...Thumbs up...... Being a care provider is one of the toughest jobs out there and I commend you for it!!!! The anger, crying, being fed up and than comes the smiles and good times also.... Tough job,for sure.......Chin up,we are here for ya......

Seriously. What in the wide, wide world of sports? Someone needs an empathy class. Or, a life.
