Folks let me tell you a short story.I had to have a funeral for my tumbler,it was 35 years old and a 6 lb Sears tumbler.I have over the last few years had to duct tape balewire and jury rig to keep it going. Its now just worn out.My heart ache's that I have to say goodbye to this long time companion.
So last week I PM'd John about his Thumbler AR2 tumbler. He was busy with getting ready to do his shows,it was packed already.I was not in a big hurry to buy, after all I am in mourning,it could have waited until he got back from doing the shows. He never admitted it but he busted his butt to take care of such a simple order.I recieved the thumbler today.Ok,thats not the end of the story.I did not want to put it on my card, because in my family October is a avalanche of birthdays to buy for,the card was near max out.I told John I would just pop a money order in the mail that day and I could wait until he returned home for him to ship. This fine man sent the tumbler and trusted me enough at my word.Thats what I call customer service at its finest. Its so rare to find someone who will do this for anyone.I am the type who will pay extra just because customer service is excellent.John had the best price I could find for a thumbler any where and to get that kind of customer service is a bonus.
I urge anyone here who is in the market for something JS Gems sells to buy from them,he is tops. This spring when I buy a new Genie I am looking no further than JS Gems!

I've bought from John too and you post is spot on. He tolerated umpteen posts from me trying to decide what to buy. His responses were full of good advice and he had by far the best prices on what I bought.

I'm stilling looking to buy some Nova's and John is where I plan to go. He's a regular contributor to the board and I have only heard good things about him.

Once again, John came through and got me the stuff to get my used vibe up and running. He is a lifesaver, and a wealth of info.

I just bought a flat lap a few days ago from him. There was a mix up on the card number when I called him (bad connection). He called me the next day about it while on the road to CO to do some shows and it was fixed. I had it 2 days latter and he gave me a few tips about it in a couple more contacts we had. Does service get any better that that?

For the service you get from John I would buy from him even if he was higher but he has always had the best price. I just bought a grinder with the groove attachment frm him and love it.THANKS John. Keith

John is what customer service is all about...he goes that extra mile to satisfy his customers. He also keeps up with contributions here on the board...those are very insightful, meaningful and right on in sharing his knowlege with us...JS Gems is top shelf for me!

Remember my new addiction, making cabs? Well my little Ameritool that I got was from John and he was super fast and helpful throughout, and also shipped it all the way to Cyprus, so another kudos to John at Johnsjems If it weren't for him, you wouldn't be already bored by my first little cabbing attempts that I keep showing here

Marika, I usually don't reply to the much appreciated comments here since I really try not to blatantly advertise on the forum. I doubt that anyone is bored with your first cabs. I for one think you are doing great. It makes me feel proud to have helped you. I love it when my customers bring me their work to show off at my shows. And thanks to everyone else for the kind words.

John: i haven't bought from you (but after reading all these posts I certainly will in the future). The reason is because you never came up on any of my searches! (or not on the first or second page anyway). I've searched for 'rock tumblers' and 'tumbling rough' and all kinds of other things, but your site hasn't ever come up. (i use google primarily). i'm only telling you this so that maybe you can do something to improve your search engine hits. i have no idea how that stuff works, but it seems a shame that a great resource such as yourself is being bypassed. Especially when some of the vendors that DO come up are just horrible. anyway, i've got your site in my favorites now, so i'll be sure to find you next time i need anything. Lenette (clowder)

Lenette, if you google any of the brands I sell you should see me on the first page. I am an equipment dealer so try Thumler's Tumbler, Barranca Diamond, Covington Lapidary Equip., etc. I don't have any rough rock on my site. Th search engine crawlers pick up key words so it took quite a while for me to show up. I refuse to pay the gazillion companies that charge to increase your standings. Most of my new customers find me at our shows , my Rock & Gem magazine add or from manufacturer's recommendations or word of mouth from other customers.
