;D I really can't say enough about Val Carver,the owner.He is exceptionally knowlegeable about rocks and equipment and a great teacher.Also,he will not sell products he considers inferior and troublesome like Inland.
Recently he sold me two nice items:1.a Lortone LRG clamp which was just what I needed to solidly hold odd-shaped rocks and use up some butt ends.He sold me his display unit because apparently Lortone doesn't make them anymore.2. a Gryphon bandsaw which was slightly used.The motor had burned out so he took it back and put a new one in.Not only that,but he demonstrated it for me,threw in a new blade and guide blocks and the price was a steal!
While I was there he told me about a customer who called to order 500 pounds of Tripoli.The guy wanted it that day and it had to be waterproofed to transport in his pickup!!I would have told him to fold it five ways and stuff it where the moon don't shine,but Val put it on a pallet and shrinkwrapped it.
