I have a couple pairs of those glasses too from being around a blast furnace. Never thought to see if they color changed. I have some cabs of the material, if I can find them I will post them. Thanks again for offering up this material Billy. It was a fun, quick and unique tumble. A welcome break from all the agates I have going. Chuck You're more than welcome. I hope everyone else who got some enjoy it also, still looking for some more.

That looks great, Chuck. Mine is in 500 now. I had some trouble with it chipping and frosting in the rough tumble. I was using kitty litter in my 6 pound barrels but it didn’t help. I switched it to three pound barrels with ceramic media and a little kitty litter and it came out great. I also had a very bulging barrel after a week. First time that’s ever happened to me.

I saved a few good flat pieces just in case I ever wanted to cab any. I was debating if it has a purpose for cabbing/jewelry. Chuck I grabbed a box from toiv0 too because I felt that it does have a place in cabbing and faceting. I haven't done anything with mine yet, but hope to cab some and have my husband facet me a piece or three . My step son and daughter were both June babies and Alexandrite is the birthstone (more commonly pearl). This makes a great priced alternative if it works the way I expect.
