I got some really neat neodymium glass from toiv0 a few weeks ago. I did some pre grinding so this was a quick turn around tumble. I pretty much used my obsidian recipe. Some came out perfect but a few may need to have flaws removed and run again. I have run my fair share of obsidian and glass from wine bottles but I have never had an issue with barrels gassing up like I did with this material. There seem to be really tiny bubbles in it under close inspection. Fluorescent (purple) and LED (green/blue) The rough I started with Thanks for looking Chuck

A two for one tumble, I like it! Mine is still rolling, no pre grinding. Now I know what it's going to look like. Thanks for posting the before and after.

Glass is a tough one to photograph so I am looking forward to your pictures. I did not baby this batch as much as I should have but it does show the material has potential. Chuck

I believe this is the same glass we used for the glasses used for glassblowing/lampworking. The lens cut the sodium flare on the flame... if I remember correctly. You couldn't work without them. I still have several pair.

I still have several pair. Now you can tumble your old glasses. Up-cycle them. I saved a few good flat pieces just in case I ever wanted to cab any. I was debating if it has a purpose for cabbing/jewelry. Chuck

Awesome. I've got this material running with some obsidian and apache tears. Really excited now after seeing your pictures. I'll keep an eye on the barrel for gas buildup. I'm also going to attempt to facet a few pieces.

Chuck has a old thread that has a very good recipe for obsidian. It's what he used here.
Great tumbles Chuck!
I have a piece I knapped. I will attempt to photo it and post.

I also bought a box. Put it in the Genie just to check it out. Soft. Looking forward to cabbing a piece. Love the color change.

You will want to test for that if using it for faceting. Chuck

I have some cabs of the material, if I can find them I will post them.
