With all of the product that folks have been putting out lately, I figured it was time to join the party. Just have been reaching into different boxes/buckets lately, so no rhyme or reason to what was produced. Besides, it's all dictated by what's ready to move on. Love the flint and pet wood group shots. Some great stuff in the closeups. Good job on that tumble and the photos. All done in a rotary earns some respect.
#13 sure looks like Mookaite. It is top left in the flint picture.

It is top left in the flint picture. Chuck Chuck, this stuff was part of the flint I received from spiceman . To be honest, I don't know the difference between flint and Mookaite as you noted. Hell, I don't even know what Mookaite is or what it looks like. I appreciate the input nonetheless. If it's Mookaite, I'll defer. Great info, as I don't know my butt from a hole in the ground, and ID on the rocks I posted is greatly appreciated. Thanks for the input. Best regards. Dave

Great batch, Dave. I'm a fan of mixed batches with a lot of variety. Love the flint and Mookaite, they came out really well, so did your pet wood. I believe Dale picked up the Mookaite with the flint at the Flint Ridge show, without knowing. There was a bunch of it in the auction box he sent to Tommy.
I'm not sure what the material is that I sent you, a couple of them look like Lavic. I wouldn't have sent you, of all people, Lavic though, would I? I don't worry too much about identifying what I've got, so I'm not much help when people ask. #12 looks like some picture jasper that I have though. Anyway, great job on another shiny bunch of rocks.

A couple of those pieces do look like Lavic, but there's so much variety to them, it's hard to tell for sure. I know I've been grabbing stuff out of the box you sent, but with running perpetual loads, it's difficult to keep track of stuff, especially as it transforms. For all I know, some of the stuff in #10 could have been from you as well. Just can't say for sure. Thanks again. Dave

I used to be able to keep track of where everything came from, but not so much anymore. I'm just glad to have what I've got. As you pointed out, with a continuous load rolling at all times and throwing stuff in randomly out of a bucket, it's hard to keep up. Regardless, nice collection of tumbles. I'm liking that bloodstone, too. I have a big chunk waiting to tumble, but need to figure out how I'm going to break it down first. Kudos again for the rotary finish.

Very nice i have not made it through all stages of a tumble yet. I got side tracked big time by slabbing cabbing wire wrapping and silversmithing. I do have a batch i started may get it back in one day. Your tumbles came out awesome!๐

Love #19 Montana, if turned a little it looks like windswept plain with a little brush sticking up. Just caught my eye I guess lol. Love them all really.
