My local creek has weeds, shopping trolleys, car bodies.
That is nice stuff, time to start collecting some equipment.

Nice looking California jasper. There's good material around you there and on up towards Morgan Hill if you have the means to sniff it out.

this one was too big,so i just stop by to look at it now and then You need to find away to get that home to nice to leave it sitting . you could rent a dolly from uhaul, ask a neighbor if the have one you can use . drag it on a flat board with a rope tied to it . anything to get that thing home you will regret it when it is gone. Good luck and get'rdone..good luck.

As far as tumbling goes? a great deal of care and cleanliness is required, these skills which i have not mastered yet, seems i was always mixing up mohs, and contaminating different batches. A trial and error process i realize, mostly error on my part. ironically ?my first batch came out the best, after that it was all down hill. Cutting rocks seems more my speed, more of an instant gratification, find a rock/cut a rock/ and you either say WOW,or throw it on the pile and try again. Training your eye on which stones to cut is also tricky, and takes practice. and as far as selling goes? beauty is in the eye of the beholder. i am amazed DAILY at what some people do not like and DO like. one thing for sure,is i like this forum, there is much to be learned here. thanks! Paul
