I am seeing stories weekly now about famous people having a sexual secret life. I've felt very lonely many times but I never felt the need to force myself on anyone. I'm sure that there are a bunch of guys scrubbing their past about now.

Scrubbing their pasts will not stop women from coming forward.
Yes, some men seem to have a problem thinking with the wrong head, but I think most men are just fine. The predators out there need to pay for their crimes, but we need to try them in a court of law- not the press.

That is beyond terrible. Those people up there in DC must think they are above the law to pull things like that.

Dangerous times... It is cool to be a victim. However there are a lot of creeps out there. I would never fondle a woman I was not in a relationship with and not in public at that. Each case still needs to be evaluated to determine the facts and some are impossible to prove one way or another. Also the idea that you cannot be offended is improper though it is becoming more and more the standard. I would hate to be actively seeking a date right now.

But lately it seems you are guilty if accused and will be punished. Sounds like the Salem witch trials. All it took was an accusation to be burned at the stake. People can and do get falsely accused for a variety of reasons including sometimes the accuser is simply looking for their 15 minutes in the spotlight or they are looking to cash in with a civil suit. And to come up with these accusations 20-40 years after the supposed incident. One of the reasons that there is a statute of limitations is because memories get fuzzy and the brain starts playing tricks including filling in things that did not actually happen, false memories. Finally there is always two sides to a story. Thus only one side is not all the facts if factual at all. How many times have people been accused of things then later on the accuser recanted the story? That is why we have courts of law to try and bring out all the facts.

Kind of a tough topic for me as both my little sister and my wife's little sister had frightening encounters with pervs when they were very young. I seriously believe those bad folks should be removed from society permanently or at the very least, permanently neutered. That being said, there are varying degrees of that kind of behavior ( ie forcible assault/rape vs unwanted touching or kissing of an adult etc) and such behavior affects a young child perhaps more than an adult who may be stronger and handle it better. The facts of the incident must be considered before judgement/punishment with special negative points for hypocrisy as in the Al Franken case or the Roy Moore case, "if he is proven guilty". God I hate holier than thou POS's that talk all goody goody and wind up being fuggin degenerates. There must be a special Hell for those scumbags
The rule of law must be considered too, and folks are innocent until they confess or are prove guilty. I think we also have to keep in mind that society these days is particularly narcissistic ala Jerry Springer guests and there are a whole bunch of disturbed individuals who will tell untruths in public for the temporary 15 minutes of fame, monetary gain, and talk show circuits such lies promote. I really hate seeing folks tried in the court of public opinion, especially in these politically polarized times full of paid political liars, dirty trickers, crazies, and hacks. I guess I prefer "just the facts jack" with lots of corroboration and would like to see folks punished after they are proven guilty by those facts. It troubles me that we see so much mob behavior these days in absence of any real evidence and I really question unproven testimonials from the distant past as such testimony invites piling on by more folks with stories than cannot be proven or dis proven after so many years have passed. How can you investigate and prove a positive or negative from thirty or forty years ago anyway? Why was such a nasty incident not reported when it occurred and could be properly investigated? After all, both our sisters reported their incidents right away.....Mel

Not that it matters (scum is scum), but just curious what the political affiliation of these losers is?
San Diego had a sexual predator for a major only five years ago. Doubt that it ever made national news. Bob Filner was the first Democrat in 20 years to lead the nation's eighth-largest city. In November 2012, Filner, a 10-term congressman, was elected mayor. He took office Dec. 3, 2012.
On June 20, 2013, his communications director Irene McCormack Jackson confronted Filner at staff meeting about unwanted sexual advances. Then Allen Jones, Filner's deputy chief of staff, quits.
In July, Filner issues a public apology, saying he "diminished" the office of mayor, failed to respect women who work for him and intimidated them. The mayor says he is seeking professional help and pleads with voters for patience.
A few days later, he announces he won't resign, saying he's not guilty of sexual harassment and will be vindicated.
Filner rejects the allegations. Eventually, at least 17 women will publicly contend Filner made unwanted advances, ranging from inappropriately seeking dates to groping them.
He was asked to resign by the San Diego County Democratic Party Central Committee, the head of the Democratic National Committee, U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
Filner responded that he will undergo two weeks of intensive behavioral therapy and return to work Aug. 19. Really? Just like that? He resigned eight months later after taking office, amid multiple allegations of sexual harassment.
I don't even want to think about the amount of money the city paid out for the lawsuits. (The city is self-insured for public liability, which is supplemented by purchased excess liability insurance.) I'm sure it could have been put to much better uses.
This guy creeped meet out, a Slimeball with a capital "S." Amazing that someone could do such acts, in a position of authority, no less, make an apology, take some behavioral therapy, and think it will all go away?
