Interesting stuff, that mookaite. I have a piece I was getting ready to cut, and I noticed some sea shell looking vacancies. I got around to googling it. Found some interesting info from an Australian mining site. Wish I could capture and upload the address.
I do not even know the correct pronunciation.

It comes off Mooka Station so Mooka-ite. Mooka is in outback Western Australia. The material is reasonably common over a very wide area inland from Carnarvon Western Australia, though not usually as good as the Mooka stuff.
A station in Australia is the same as Ranch, so we have cattle stations you have cattle ranches.
Its not really a Jasper either, more an Opalite sort of thing, Silica derived from marine Diatoms.

I have a few pieces I bought from local rock shop. There are inline to jump into sphere machine. Not quite sure the hardness, but I we will see.
