Hi everyone,

I'm steve...I was interested in any information anyone has on fossil hunting in Arizona. I have been all over my area of northwestern Arizona with no luck on fossils...although there is an abundance of other rocks, gems and minerals in this area.

I've gotten a few small cherry clams and some coral from there but didn't really go out to get fossils.

Yes, Petrified wood is a fossil....ha ha ha.....I know where I can find lots of pet wood.....river tumbled jaspers, agates. Ive only found 1 shell fossil close to Colorado river area in a tumbled rock around temple bar marina.
Ok, So who wants to go to Texas for a fossil hunting trip?

What kind of fossils do you seek?

Ocean fossils? Have a look at the Payson map above.

I know of one spot in ladonia, texas that I am going to, on my next trip to florida. Does anyone in Utah know of any dino dig spots?
