OK, it used to show that I had one new message that I didn't have and now it shows that I have 2. I don't have any new messages. I have a feeling someone messaged me and it went into limbo. I guess, I'll never know.

Yeah weird - I'm not sure I totally understand what you're talking about though. I'm assuming you are talking about the email notification that comes when we get a private message? In my email I get a preview of who the message is from - do you not see a preview? Example:

OH... OK weird. Have you tried logging out and back in and seeing if it clears?

You have been Chosen as The Contact by Them. Look for the Messages you will soon be receiving. Their Messages may take other forms.

OH... OK weird. Have you tried logging out and back in and seeing if it clears? I've tried everything. For at least 2 years it would say I had one new message. The 2 new messages just started the other day. What bugs me, is I think someone messaged me and the message became a glitch in the matrix. I'll never know who wrote.

Well. I guess you have to click the bubble to delete the number. It's so weird that of all the times I checked messages, I never clicked the bubble. Anyway, it's gone now.

I guess, I'll never know. Here is something to try. I am assuming you do not want to delete a lot of messages. On the top row there is a box marked select. Click it and select read. then click actions and select move to archive. The messages remaining should be the new messages. Another method would be to select new and move the new ones to the archives instead. Either way should isolate the unread messages.

Strange.

Clicking the bubble probably functioned to mark unread messages as read. Though there might have been an error where a read message was not clearing the flag. For something that appears to be easy and should be predictable, computer programming is so nested now that unpredictable interactions occur as the various levels of operations try to portion out control.
