Interesting.
Tried AO 80 in the gentle Vibraminisonic. Cleaned out today. The AO 80 did not break down all the way. White powder remained in the bottom of the hopper. Ran for 3 days, long time. Rocks with no polish.
The more violent Vibrasonic broke down AO 80 to near polish in 36 hours. No white powder at the bottom of the hopper. Rocks receive decent polish.
However the gentle Vibraminisonic breaks down AO 220 to near polish in less than 2 days. No white residue. Liking the AO 220 for both soft and hard rocks in the gentle vibe arrangement.
All this makes perfect sense. It takes higher impacts to crack larger AO particles, simple as that. Could serve as a gauge to the aggressiveness of vibratory forces.
To add to this proof, the Vibrasonic set on a more aggressive setting did not break down AO 22. White residue was left behind on that run.
AO 220 - 80 - 22 was all fused white AO.
