What kind of saw is used with the 6" ultrathin Kerf blades? Like the 0.006" thick ones. johnjsgems

@shotgunner I use a Lortone Hi-Ball time saw with a Vangard .012 thick 6" blade. Can't imagine using one that was .006

I believe the little 4" ameritool saw was sent with one that small. I picked up some other blades to go with it. That one is just too thin.

Ameritool ships with the .013" version of same electroplated blade. For 6" the High Tech saw would turn fast enough to keep blade rigid. Too thin for me but I sell a lot to people cutting really pricey rock. Opals, facet rough, etc.

@shotgunner, you need one with a really narrow blade . . .um . . hole - the hole in the . . . um . . . table, that the blade pokes out of. (Sorry, I just ate lunch, food coma).

With the .02 blade, there is about 1/8" on either side. It's not bad, but could be smaller.

I run a thin 6 in trim blade, I like the ability to watch for side loading the blade. A solid rim BD 30_, sorry it's the last and most important number I cannot recall.

So your itty bitty matchsticks you're making don't fall down through the hole. If you make those, that is.

If it is a 6" 303C the thinnest is .014". The thin electroplated are about 1/2 that thickness.
