Thanks for the add. Haven't really got into tumbling or rocks, since they are scarce here in Maryland, but I do work in hot and cold glass and have all the tooling and equipment to do it, including a lot of rock equipment that rock folks use, including rotary tumblers, sonic vibrating tumbler, diamond blade band saws, diamond ring saw, diamond trim saw, diamond tile saws, glass stone/diamond wheel lathe, diamond grinders, bevel grinder, faceting machine, Kilns, Lortone vibrating flat lap, and much more, being a tool freak. Recent interest was sparked again from a Face book group I belong to about tumbling colored glass, which is available to me like dirt. I work with a lot of stained glass in many colors , and generate a ton of scrap, so having glass kilns, it would be so easy to melt the scrap, give it a few swirls, and pour it in any shape or size, anneal it, and have my own stuff to tumble. Looking forward to tips and learning more.

Welcome. Your perspectives and experiences are welcomed as additions to a diverse aggregation of folks. Rocks are really never rare, they just vary greatly in size, exposure, and desirability for certain purposes. I sure you will teach us some new tricks.

Welcome from Virginia. I have a background in Boro Glass. I don't do it anymore, though. I cab and make jewelry. We just recently had a few threads abt tumbling glass. I'm sure you'll find a lot of good information.

Welcome from Michigan. I prefer to tumble rocks, but I recently tumbled some glass and it turned out really nice. Be careful if you tumble glass, because it lets off gas that can blow the top off of your barrels.
