Contents of a bag of "Tumbling Mix" I got for Xmas. To my inexperienced eye, it looks like waste from flint knapping. Am I right that it's flint?

I've been disappointed with tumbling thin little chips. Most of these are 1/4" or less thick, tapering to nothing. I suspect there'll be very little left after the sharp edges round off.

yes those look like flint/chert from knapping. there are a couple of black ones that may be obsidian but can't tell for sure from the pic

Not sure if it is a failed arrowhead, but that would support my suspicion that the stones are knapping waste.

That definitely looks like flint knapping debitage to me. I too see a knapped point missing a tip, lower right about three up. Brown and has been punch notched on both sides. Rick B

A lot depends on how you tumble. Rotary or vibe. I could see these working in a vibe. Yes, agree on the arrowhead mishap.

Probably a short run of course in a rotary to take the sharp edges off, then move to a Lot-0? Not enough of them to run by themselves. Will need to add them to something else. Unless I go all rotary in one of my little 1.5lb barrels... Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
