Looks pretty cool, super job. The silver really frames the stone and sets it off.

Really nice. I tried to wire wrap a tumbled stone once. All the material is still in the corner where I threw it (the spiders have now claimed it)!

Really nice. I tried to wire wrap a tumbled stone once. All the material is still in the corner where I threw it (the spiders have now claimed it)! I almost did the same. Ive wasted so much wire and my kitchen table looks like a bomb went off. The bigger and or flatter they are the easier it is.

Very nice! Sometimes you really have to roll with your ideas. You pulled this off wonderfully. I'm impressed by the design and the completion.... no tool marks, either.

Thank you everyone. I really like this one
Tool marks were driving me nuts and the #1 reason (#2 my bails still suck) I have so much wire waste. So I am m really please that this has none.

Cool wrap! I also noticed the lack of tool marks. I had trouble with that. Trouble in general. I did about 5 or 6 and retired. Couldn't control that wire the way I wanted to.

I've been playing with different wire gauges and shape, some is easier to manipulate than others

Very awesome. Yes, you are doing great. Very impressed with this one. Tumbled stones are very challenging.

The title of your post says "you might be getting the hang of it." Don't ever sell yourself short. You do have the hang of wrapping And that looks real nice. Just keep moving forward and soon You will be wrapping with your eyes closed. Nice job

The wire you use makes a big difference, I found out. Also, I started with an irregular shaped tumble, which probably got me off on the wrong foot. Here's a pic of my first three attempts. The one in the middle was my first. It was cheap craft wire, which might not have helped. It gave a good fight, but I beat the hell out of it.
