Heres a pic of my first ever purchased rock (about 25 years ago). I got it in the Lake District (uk) and mom and dad went mad because I spent my 2 pounds and 50p fortune on it all in one go. Well Ive still got it and it sits on the mantlepiece in the living room - so I reckon Ive had my moneys worth! Post inspired by RiverOtters picture. Andy.

Geodes are truly amazing to look at. That's a rock you will never tire of looking at!

I love geodes, my sister has a few that I would love to cut apart to see what is inside. I think my next purchase will be a rock cutting saw or detail saw, since I deal mostly with smaller rocks.

I love geodes! Unfortunately my parent aways used to say "ah you don't need one of those." And I never did get one... Anyway, cool geode!

It cost about $5.00 or thereabouts 25 years ago.
Yup - its like a world of its own in there. The outside even has markings like polar regions top and bottom!

That is beautiful. I love that orange and white band around the outside too. Geodes have to be one of the coolest things there is. Is it not just amazing the things that mother nature can create.
