I was cleaning out the tumbler today and this Bahia agate looked pretty boring on the outside so I figured I should cut it open to see if it was worth keeping around. I guess it is a keeper after all Thanks for looking Chuck

A wise decision to keep it.

I like the rind as well as the middle. Kinda like getting the chocolate covered something out of the box which is the one you really like.

Thanks - That is why I usually end up cutting all my bots and brazilians. Slice them in half then tumble them to get the best of both worlds. You still get to see the outside but also get to see whats inside. Should slice all my bahias too but they are really hard blade eaters. Chuck

I have a hard time deciding whether to cut Bahias or not. I like to tumble those whole, but some just beg to be cut. This is one of them!

Plain on the outside? Either cut it or do some mega-grinding and then into the tumbler. I have always found a better rock hiding inside.
