Agree, some differences but they probably changed them a few times for the years. It was leaking and I made a new seal, now one shaft cam out and the belt is pretty iffy. may just buy a good vib tumbler and be done with it.

The Scott-Murray tumbler in the link Tim AzRockGeek provided is exactly what mine looks like, right down to the little black nub covering the oiling spot for the motor. The barrel is green, the frame gold, just like the photo.
woodman , I had the same thought when I saw your photo, but the motor is on the reverse side. Is your photo reversed? Not a big deal, maybe they made them in various configurations over the years? And despite what they say in the Worthpoint ad, it is a 15 lb tumbler, not 20. What parts are you needing, woodman?
When I got my from mohs , I had to replace the liner. It is exactly the same size as the Thumblers Model B. I got the liner from the Rock Shed. Liner and other parts HERE . I also replaced worn bushings, but not with more plastic bushings. We made aluminum blocks for either end, cut longer shafts, and installed regular bearings.
I did a thread on the rebuild a few years back, but imagine I would need to replace the photos because of Photobucket. Will do that if you are interested. Just let me know. Jean

Hey mohs , good to hear from you. It's not just you, we are all like rocks going downhill. Picking up speed!!! Oh no!!
I didn't take that pic, it was on the Worthpoint website. Tim posted the link to show woodman what a Scott-Murray looked like, so he could compare it to his.
I do have photos of the one you sent to me so long ago (thank you!), both before and after the rebuild. But they were on effing PB. I will upload to Flickr, and fix those photo links in the Scott-Murray overhaul thread.

One shaft dropped out of the plastic bushing, I think the clip on the end came off. have not had the time to play with it. rubber on the rollers pretty worn and the belt looks like it is original. I was thinking about getting some pillow block bearing and maybe new shaft and building a new base for it. Been wanting to do some tumbling, lord knows I got enough rocks laying around. at any rate do appreciate the help and the link. will check it out. thanks

ranchorosa: I found Quartz just east of Dryden, TX. and it does not seem to be a common find. I looked online and it seems like quartz is only typically found near Llano and further west in Alpine, TX..... could this be a sign of possible bigger finds in the area?
