Was walking to the shop with camera and this guy starting yelling at me to take his picture, or he was just on top of the pile of Obsidian.

It looks like a multi-flow Mahogany Obsidian on one half. What mineral makes up the brown swirls?

I love mahogany obsidian. Never knew it existed until I found a piece while backpacking Iceland. Luckily I ran in to a couple of American geologists that told me what it was.

Beautiful double and triple flows in that piece!!!! WOW...Nothing better than cutting into the flow patterns of this Mahogany Obsidian....Always loved hounding it too... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obsidian

I love the Mahogany, that piece is beautiful. I have some that just looked "OK", until cracked! Can't wait to catch up with other tumbling and do another batch. I hope to go collect some in the Spring, bought the last batch I had.
