When I took my quartz out of the 600 they looked like yours and, this being my first batch, I was afraid they weren't ready for polish. Now I can hardly wait. (I say that alot, huh. Patiance!) very pretty cookie

Those are REALLY nice You dun Good! Just out of curiosity I' d like to know the steps you used to get the result. And; What did you use as a final rinse to clean the Titanium Oxide up so nicely? Very Nice Job Kim! Keep it up!! What do you have planned for the next load?

i started these on jan. 31st in 60/90 recharging every 5-7 days for 7 wks - taking out the ready ones and adding the blue and green after 3 wks. 120/220 for 1 wk, 400 or 500 (i think 500 but i have both) for 1 wk, 1000 a.o. for 5 days, titanium oxide for 5 days. they were smooth coming out of 60/90 and even though the green adventurine looks like it has some chipping coming out of the 400 it really didn't - that's something inside the rock. i ran them in borax for about an hr. last night with hot water. then i rinsed each one individually in warm water and by then it was almost 3 a.m. so i left them on a towel to dry and took the pics about 9 this morning. i had a few chip or fracture in the polish stage and those were the ones that the titanium stuck on. so if i had it to do over i'd reduce my rock load in the last 2 steps and add more pellets but even so i only had a few that did that. that titanium is awesome.
i don't know what to tumble next - i think i'm going to have to do some sawing!
